I bought these discs for my daughter so she could do some of the instruction on her own figuring that they would be good for her sisters when they were ready for Algebra. This instruction is good and well presented. However the quality of the discs is so poor that They can only be used a handful of times. Now they can no longer be read by any computer I've tried them in. There are no scratches to explain this behavior. This is a 5 disc set. The first 2 discs were only used for about 10 lessons apiece before they quit working.
This is absolutely awesome! My son is understanding math so much more now.
This is a great set of cds for any student studying algebra with the Saxon text. Getting it however was challanging. For some unexplainable reason it took 21 days to receive the set. The seller sent me useless tracking info that for the first two weeks after ordering, only showed that shipping was purchased--nothing about my item moving through the mail system. Seller also said she had no idea why it was taking so long to receive the set which didn't exactly help much. So, I suggest buying the cd set cause it's great. Goes much further than DIVE. You get the lessons, plus it goes over the problem set and the tests. Just make sure you order them almost a month before you actually need them and perhaps make sure the seller doesn't use to ship.

Great product for a great price
You won't run into gaps with this book. It is thorough enough as it (curriculum) builds upon itself. The biggest complaint from my student is the amount of daily work is grueling. If you need additional support you can purchase DIVE discs with solutions and teacher's lecture and/or Saxon's Teacher's Edition with lecture and full solutions with explanation for every problem. These helped a lot when the student ran into difficulties understanding a concept.
